Winners of the PSI Sustainability Awards 2021
Arpe Barcelona’s reusable hygienic masks have been awarded as “Sustainable Textile Product of the Year” by the PSI – Promotional Product Service Institute. In addition, the company was a finalist in the categories of environmental excellence, social excellence, and economic excellence.
Arpe had already been recognised by PIMEC in the 33rd edition of the SME Awards – special covid – for its contribution to overcoming the effects of the pandemic in Catalonia. It should also be remembered that the Arpe customisable hygienic masks were selected by the commission of experts at INTEXTER UPC as the best on the market for their students and teaching staff.
The PSI Sustainability Awards were presented for the sixth consecutive
year, however, for the first time the promotional products industry did not
meet for a gala evening. The awards ceremony, which was to kick off the
international and leading promotional product fair in Düsseldorf, had to be
moved to digital space due to the pandemic and the consequent postponement of the fair. But the festive atmosphere was not lacking during the gala on the 12th of January.

The Award pays tribute to companies that stand out for their exceptional
results in the three areas of sustainability – economic, ecological and
social – and thus take on a pioneering role in the promotional product
industry. PSI Director Michael Freter and Steven Baumgärtner, Managing
Director of cyber-Wear presented the virtual event.
Out of a total of 98 entries, Arpe was the winner for the best sustainable
textile product 2021, thanks to its latest innovation; the reusable and
sustainable Skut masks.
